Description

SC-2030 is a reliable and proven solar charge controller for medium sized RVs. This Bogart Engineering system is a well proven, reliable as they come, simple to use yet fully featured solar charge controller for small to medium size independent DC power systems. Capable of working with 12 and 24 VDC systems and providing charge currents up to 40 amps, the SC-2030 is probably all that most RV owners will ever need.

The SC-2030 is a sophisticated and reliable, low cost PWM solar charge controller for batteries or any chemistry. The unit includes a number of presets suitable for lead-acid battery banks from most major manufacturers, ranging in size from a few to a few thousand amp hours. It is fully programmable and its settings can be customized by users with good understanding of their battery charging requirements. When combined with TM-2030, the SC-2030 is capable of providing fully configurable 4-stage charging.

We have been relying on a TM-2030 / SC-2030 system for almost ten years. The SC-2030 is a reliable and proven charge controller, and required zero maintenance. Further, it resulted in our set of group size 29 batteries from a major box store to last 10 yeas. These batteries are still fully operational but have been replaced with a much larger bank of GC2 batteries, to enable longer inclement weather support for the furnace when boondocking, and running a microwave with impunity. We are never plugged in, and 400+ A/h make us feel a lot better in early winter, when two-three days of snowfall prevent our solar system from replenishing the charge spent running the furnace overnight.
